Focused on You

As a clinical health psychologist, Dr. Chase Vaughn Grosse is academically trained, experienced, and licensed to help people who are coping with behavioral health concerns related to chronic, terminal, and even traumatic illnesses or injuries. While physicians take care of the physical needs of patients, Dr. Grosse provides care for his patients’ behavioral health needs. His goal is to help each of his patients achieve overall better health by developing interventions and strategies for coping with complex health issues. He also sees patients who are relatively healthy but who want to improve their health to achieve a better quality of life. For these patients, he works with them on their individual objectives to help them reach their wellness goals.

Chase Vaughn Grosse

Clinical Health Psychologist

Originally from Lexington, Kentucky, Dr. Grosse was raised in North Carolina, Virginia, and Georgia. His academic training included programs in Kentucky, Georgia, Texas, and Michigan. After completing his doctoral fellowship in 2019, he returned to Georgia and accepted a position at a major health system as both a clinical staff psychologist and as the Director of Behavioral Medicine for its Family Medicine Residency. In addition to providing psychological care for patients in an outpatient clinic and hospitalized patients each day, his responsibilities also include training medical residents in the field of health psychology in the hospital setting, emphasizing the connection between physical medical care and psychological medical needs.

Dr. Grosse’s passion is to help people live better lives, despite their chronic health issues, by providing them with strategies for more positive life skills and a better understanding of the role the brain plays in wellness. From his own family background, he understands the unique needs of those with chronic and terminal illnesses as well as the behavioral health needs of caregivers.
